POS Pedestal Display Series 1800 LCD Display
The
new ID TECH Series 1800 Pedestal Display from ID TECH was designed to
solve the display problems that accompany most transaction counter
installations. With its easy-to-read large display panel, it provides an
elegant solution to the obstacles encountered in accommodating customer
or operator information feedback requirements. Customers are provided
with a real time display of vital sales or other information. Not only
does this increase customer satisfaction and awareness, but also
satisfies state regulatory agency requirements.
The attractively styled
high impact plastic housing is equally at home, at a retail checkout
counter, or in a truck scale installation. The articulated design allows
the display to be rotated and tilted to provide the ideal viewing angle.
Requiring a minimum of space, the pedestal base can be permanently
attached to the counter top or used with a weighted base plate for
movable installations.
The large back-lighted
LCD panel provides two lines of information with up to 16 characters per
line that is highly visible, even under high ambient light conditions.
The display can be static for concise messages or scrolled to display
longer messages, ideal for displaying "sales specials" or instructions.

Installation
-- The Series 1800 uses industry
standard control codes that are commonly used by a number of
manufacturers, making it truly "plug 'n play" for most applications.
Set-up software is supplied to make the installation and configuration
fast and easy.
- Multiple
Configurations
-- The Series 1800 can be interfaced to
the host via an RS232 serial port or a Centronics compatible parallel
port. A "pass-through" mode can be selected allowing either interface
to be transparent to the data stream, intercepting only data intended
for it.
- Custom
Messages
-- Messages can be easily changed to
accommodate product description, sales information or for prompting a
customer in self-service applications. Messages that are too long to
be statically displayed can be automatically scrolled.
- Character
Sets
-- The Series 1800 can display all 96
printable ASCII characters along with 96 extended character patterns
and eight custom programmed character patterns, each in a 5 x 7
matrix. Messages are displayed in easily recognizable characters
instead of being limited to "stroke" formed characters.
